Home From Afghanistan to Hunt

I just wanted to thank you and your staff for a great elk hunt.  As you know, this hunt was planned while I was stationed in Afghanistan.  Thanks to your personal attention and assistance, everything went smoothly and as planned.  The entire hunt from the minute I arrived at the ranch until I departed the meat processor’s was well organized.
Everyone on your staff, from Lynette in the office, to your guides in the field were professional and extremely helpful.  I would like to thank your son Dalton for guiding the “old man” and going the extra mile (literally) to get me the elk I wanted.  In one day, Dalton put me on two herds of 40-plus animals.  I plan to hunt with him again.  I would also like to thank Chuck for his sense of humor that entertained us in camp throughout the hunt, and Erik for his personal service and the great meals he prepared.  You have a beautiful ranch, quality staff, and top notch spike camp operation.  The fact that elk are plentiful doesn’t hurt either.  Once again, thank you and I’ll see you in September 2011.

Happy hunters enjoyed success and great dutch-oven meals

Just a quick note to thank you for the hunt this past September 10-15. We sincerely appreciated the personal attention you put into finding some bulls and allowing us to hunt the evening we arrived. Despite some tough conditions, we were thrilled with the success achieved by both my brother and dad. My dad is still giddy over his hunt. He had the kind of luck only he can have – lots of whitetail stories from back in WI just like it. Tom, Tate and Blake were some of the best guides we’ve had. They were hard working and knew the ranch very well. Alan was a terrific surprise as a camp cook. The dutch-oven meals we had were the best ever in any of our camps from New Mexico to Manitoba, CA. You run a great operation and I look forward to being able to return.
Sincerely, Tim Van Wyk
